Soya chaap is a delectable North Indian dish that combines the goodness of soy protein with a burst of Indian flavors. Ingredients:
- 200 grams of soya chaap ( Buy Soya Chaap )
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon red chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
- Lemon wedges for garnish
For the Marinade:
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons cream
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 tablespoon chaat masala
- 1/2 tablespoon black salt
- 1/2 tablespoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Soya Chaap:
- Boil water in a large pot and add the soya chaap pieces.
- Boil for about 10-15 minutes or until they become soft and plump.
- Drain the water and let the chaap cool.
- Prepare the Marinade:
- In a mixing bowl, combine all the ingredients for the marinade.
- Whisk until you get a smooth and creamy consistency.
- Marinate the Soya Chaap:
- Cut the boiled and cooled soya chaap into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the chaap pieces in a large bowl and pour the marinade over them.
- Toss the chaap pieces gently to coat them evenly with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl and let it marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Cooking the Soya Chaap:
